About Me
Hi! I'm James, Director of First Steps Consulting. I'm CIPD qualified and an ICF Certified career coach, looking to provide HR services to SMEs.
After a decade in front-line People roles, I decided I wanted to make a change for myself. I've always wanted to help companies to make a difference and to change the stigma around "HR". So for me, consultancy makes perfect sense. This avenue provides me with the flexibility and freedom to help as many organisations as possible. I'd love to have a conversation and see how our visions align and what we can achieve together.
Experience
From large multi-national insurance companies and FinTech start-ups, to asset managers and ForEx traders, I've worked in organisations of all different shapes and sizes. I've worked with some incredible people and gained some excellent experiences. I've seen how to succeed and, maybe more importantly, I know how to avoid failure. I'd love to share my experiences and help you to shape your continued success.
Mission
I've always said that a company's biggest asset is its people. This is something I truly mean. My role and mission, is to help organisations to recalibrate and put their employees back at the heart of everything they do. Whether that is through streamlining your processes, up-skilling your managers or through bespoke coaching programmes.
